Letter from Reverend Daniel Waldo at 100This hand-written letter by the Reverend Daniel Waldo, a soldier in the American Revolution from Connecticut was written from Syracuse, New York, on February 2nd, 1863, to a “boy”, a soldier from the North in the Civil War. Reverend Waldo, one of the last six living Revolutionary War veterans, at the age of 100 years and five months, offered his young admirer a biblical quotation during the dark days of America’s Civil War.
